Science x Scent x Art
We're a Cornwall-based collective and beauty brand, blending botanical science, functional scent and aesthetic design.
Hugo, Soph & Fred.
Founded in Falmouth
mor & meadow was founded in Falmouth in May 2026 by Hugo, Sophie and Freddie, powered by a wider collective of growers, artists and botanists. Hugo is a botanical scientist and Chelsea Flower Show winner. Sophie is an acclaimed local artist and designer, while Freddie’s background is in fragrance, formerly serving as Managing Director of Czech & Speake London.
Research
Hugo.
Rooted in Research
"Cornwall’s plants, fungi and seaweeds have evolved to thrive under harsh, enviromental stressors. Salt, wind, shifting tides. We study their unique daptations and use carefully researched bioactives to inform multifunctional formulations focused on supporting skin resilience"
Design
Sophie.
Defined by Design
"Cornwall is the main character in all our stories. The birthplace of the brand, where we all met, where Freddie and I fell in love. Everything we create pays homage to its uniqueness and distinct visual identity. The coastal blues, mineral tones, original artwork bespoke molds and meticulously sourced components come together in a product worthy of ritual and every day use"
Scent
Freddie.
Shaped by Scent
"Fragrance is now much more about the feeling it evokes, as it is the notes that make it up. Everything we create has an intentional sensory outcome, paired with a multifunctional skincare formula. Cornwall gives us a rich tapestry to draw from: botanicals, landscapes, folklore and atmosphere. These stories shape the scents we create, making each mist not only functional, but evocative"
Cornwall is the centre of our universe. It is where the brand was born. It is our home. Everything we do radiates from it.
Our name comes from the meeting of land and sea (mor). Our formulas are inspired by the resiilence of life shaped by this rugged environment, our designs an ode to its unique character and story.
Formula. Resilience.
Cornwall's plants, fungi and seaweeds have evolved under intense environmental pressures. Intense salinity. Biting winds. Shifting tides. Thier unique adaptations to their stressors inspire the biactives used in our mists.
Explore EcosystemDesign. Landscape.
Everyything we make is beautifu, but it always harks back to Cornwall. Tidal blues and mineral tones pay homage to Cornish mining and maritime heritage. Bloom takes its sea-glass blue from Cornwall's coastal waters while Shade echoing its darker coves and night skies.
Explore EcosystemCollaboration. Community.
Mor & Meadow was not built in isolation. We are proud and priveledged to be powered by a collective. An evolving network of growers, botanist, artists (and Leroy!). Collaborations with local instiutions, gardens and sanctuaries expand the way we think and allow us to share their stories with you.
Explore ecosystemEducation. The MEADOW
Led by Hugo, a former science teacher, we want an open culture of education and complete transparency. Our ambition is to build the Meadow, a physical manifestation of our botanical philosophy and site to showcase our craft and community.
Explore EcosystemScarcity, heat and unrelenting light
In development
The desert is a landscape of reduction. Space dominates. Life is sparse, concentrated and precise. Everything unnecessary has been stripped away. What remains is self-sufficient and entirely adapted to exposure.
Explore EcosystemRelentless sun, drought
In development
Here, the sun is the dominant force. Chronic UV exposure challenges the surface, while arid air pulls moisture outward. Together, light and dryness create constant pressure: defend the exterior, preserve what lies within.
Explore EcosystemPigments, osmolytes and water-binding.
In development
Desert life adapts through protection and retention. Pigments help intercept radiation and neutralise free radicals, while osmolytes and mucilaginous compounds bind water at a molecular level. Two pressures. Two responses: shield and retain.
Explore EcosystemProtection and hydration retention
In development
The Desert function is defence against exposure. Photoprotective pigments support the skin against oxidative stress, while water-binding compounds help retain hydration in dry conditions.
Explore EcosystemProtect.
In development
Without protection, the rest of your routine works harder. The Desert Collection forms the protective layer of the Mor & Meadow system, helping defend against daily exposure, preserve hydration and support long-term resilience.
Coming SoonCold, altitude and absolute exposure
Coming Soon
The alpine environment is defined by intensity. Thin air. Sudden weather. High UV. Extreme cold. Life here is exposed, but never passive. It survives through rapid repair, structural strength and the ability to recover under pressure.
Freezing wind, oxidative stress and cellular strain
Coming Soon
At altitude, stress is constant and layered. Cold slows function, wind strips moisture, and high UV increases oxidative pressure. Together, they create an environment where damage can build quickly unless repair begins just as fast.
Stress proteins, antioxidants and repair systems
Coming Soon
Alpine life adapts through resilience and recovery. Protective compounds help defend against oxidative stress, while cellular repair mechanisms support renewal after exposure. Some organisms produce antifreeze-like proteins and stress-response systems to keep functioning in extreme conditions.
Recovery and renewal
Coming Soon
The Alpine function is recovery under stress. Antioxidants and adaptive repair compounds support the skin’s ability to recover from environmental pressure, while strengthening ingredients help restore comfort and resilience. Repair what is stressed. Renew what is depleted.
Repair.
Coming Soon
Exposure leaves a trace. Skin needs time, support and the right conditions to recover. The Alpine Collection forms the repair layer of the Mor & Meadow system — supporting renewal, recovery and resilience when skin feels depleted, stressed or exposed.
Coming SoonHumidity, density and living pressure
Coming Soon
The rainforest is an environment of abundance. Heat. Moisture. Shade. Constant biological activity. Life here is not fighting scarcity, but excess. It survives through balance, defence and the ability to stay clear within a crowded, living system.
Humidity, microbes and surface imbalance
Coming Soon
In tropical conditions, pressure comes from saturation. Moisture lingers, surfaces stay active, and microbial life thrives. Together, they create an environment where balance can shift quickly unless the surface is kept clear, regulated and resilient.
Antimicrobials and enzymes
Coming Soon
Rainforest life adapts through cleansing and control. Plants produce antimicrobial compounds, enzymatic systems and protective surface chemistry to manage microbial pressure and prevent overgrowth.
Microbiome balance
Coming Soon
The Rainforest function is surface reset. Botanical actives and balancing compounds support the skin’s need to stay clear, fresh and regulated, while helping maintain conditions for a resilient microbiome.
Reset.
Coming Soon
Before skin can absorb, strengthen or repair, it needs a clear surface and balanced conditions. The Rainforest Collection forms the reset layer of the Mor & Meadow system, supporting clarity, balance and renewal when skin feels congested, unsettled or overloaded.

It begins with the barrier
Two expressions of the Cornish coast: Bloom to invigorate and strengthen the skin barrier; Shade to calm and restore. Fine facial mists.
