Salt, wind, shifting light
Cornwall's pressures are slow and cumulative. Persistent salinity, transepidermal moisture loss driven by Atlantic wind, and tidal temperature swings erode rather than assault; the kind of stress that goes unnoticed until the damage is already done.
Protective coatings
Life here adapts by sealing and retaining. Waxy epicuticular layers reduce transepidermal water loss, while concentrated polysaccharides bind moisture at a cellular level. These are not dramatic innovations; they are precise, incremental reinforcements, built for a barrier that must hold day after day.
Barrier support
Coastal polysaccharides help bind water to the skin, while plant lipids and wax-like compounds support the barrier that helps keep moisture in and environmental stressors out. The biology is different; the problem is familiar; hydration, protection and resilience under daily exposure.
Foundation
It begins with the barrier. Before skin can protect, renew or repair, it needs a stable foundation. The Cornish Collection supports this first step; helping skin hold moisture, maintain balance and build everyday resilience.

Visual Identity
I wanted to capture a landscape in constant movement; sea meeting land, salt meeting stone, light shifting across the coast. Deep blues, mineral tones and copper accents reflect Cornwall’s tidal palette, while the copper nods to the region’s maritime and mining heritage. Each design is intended to feel quiet, elemental and enduring.
Cornish is the foundation of the Mor & Meadow routine — the barrier-supporting layer that every other ecosystem builds from.
Once the barrier is supported, the wider system adds three further roles: Desert to protect, Alpine to repair, and Rainforest to reset.
