We begin each formulation by studying a specific ecosystem analysing how plants and organisms adapt to stress, climate, and scarcity, guiding us toward botanicals that not only survive but thrive within the same environmental conditions we aim to address. Our ecosystem-driven approach is based on biological fit rather than one-size-fits-all formulation, pairing enviromental adaptations to different skin types.

Defined by Design
Everything we create pays homage to the distinct character of the ecosystem that inspired it. Each collection follows its own visual language; tidal blues and mineral copper for Cornwall, sunbaked ochres for the Desert, deep canopy greens for the Rainforest. Designed by Sophie, every object is considered from artwork to form. Original illustrations, bespoke moulds, and carefully selected materials ensure the product is not just contained, but expressed as a physical translation of place.

Plants, fungi, and algae face the same stressors we do, such as UV radiation, pollution, dehydration, and temperature extremes, and in response, have developed powerful bioactive defences. Different environments create different adaptive strategies, and those strategies inform how our formulations behave on the skin.
By studying specific ecosystems, and the organisms in them, we identify the adaptive strategies they develop to survive environmental pressures.
We then translate these survival mechanisms into skincare formulations that teach skin to adapt, balance, and thrive under the same stressos.
