Rooted in Research
Hugo — Botanist and agricultural science educator specialising in plant systems and high-tech cultivation.
A Cornwall-based research and design studio studying how life adapts to environmental pressure, translating survival strategies into skincare systems.
WHY WE BUILT THIS
It relies on short-term correction: stripping cleansers, aggressive exfoliation and strong targeted actives designed to peel, freeze or force the skin into submission.
But skin is not a static, passive barrier. It is a dynamic, self-regulating environment that continually recalibrates itself. We built Mor & Meadow on the idea that skin is not a problem to fix, but a living system to support.
RESEARCH x DESIGN
mor & meadow sits at the intersection of botanical science and aesthetic design, powered by a collective of artists, botanists, growers and cosmetic designers.

Not an ecosystem, a microcosm of many habitats; Where sea (mor) and land meet in balance, making it the clearest expression of our ecosystem-led philosophy.
THE COLLECTIVE
Mor & Meadow is not built in isolation. We are shaped an evolving network of growers, scientists, artists, formulators and makers whose practices sit close to the natural world.
From cultivation and botanical research to material experimentation and visual storytelling, these collaborations expand the way we think and help ground the brand in observation, exchange and shared learning.
