Hugo — Botanist and agricultural science educator specialising in plant systems and high-tech cultivation.
A Cornwall-based research and design studio studying how life adapts to environmental pressure, translating survival strategies into skincare systems.
WHY WE BUILT THIS
Skincare has become overcomplicated, underexplained and, at times, misleading. Too many products, too many steps, too many decisions. The result is decision fatigue: wasted money, unnecessary waste, confusion, guilt and routines that are difficult to maintain in modern life.
81% of people want a simpler routine, and 80% would trade multiple products for one that does the same job.
Our approach is straightforward: effective skincare is consistent skincare. Hugo, Freddie and Sophie utilise their complementary experience and expertise to create multifunctional formulas that do more in fewer steps, with intentional scent and beautiful aesthetic design worthy of daily ritual.

Mists are the purest expression of our philosophy. A very simple, low-friction format in a category that has often been treated as an afterthought. Whilst many in the industry treat mists as ancillary with limited perceived efficacy, Hugo carefully designs our forumlas to be the primary treatment.
Cornish Bloom and Shade are complementary and foundational day/night treatments designed to do more in a single, effortless step, making consistent skincare easier to maintain.
Not only our home but the birthplace of mor & meadow. Its name drawing on the intense meeting of land and sea (mor)
Cornwall is the epicentre. Everything we do radiates from it. Our formulas, designs, stories and community. Its innate natural beauty only surpassed by the wonderful people that dwell within its shores.

THE COLLECTIVE
Mor & Meadow is not built in isolation. We are shaped by an evolving network of growers, scientists, artists, formulators and makers whose practices sit close to the natural world.
From cultivation and botanical research to material experimentation and visual storytelling, these collaborations expand the way we think and help ground the brand in observation, exchange and shared learning.
